You won’t be dancing, you won’t be prancing, not even pacing–you’ll be sitting in a chair. In an interview, how you sit in a chair matters.

Don’t sit like a yogi. Don’t sit on the chair backwards like an idiot. Don’t fidget. Don’t shuffle around. Don’t sit with your legs ** gasp ** too far apart.

So how should you sit? Sit with both feet on the floor. Sit with your back straight–but not so as to seem tense. Sit so you can hold a calm steady gaze. Sit so you look like your interviewer has your full attention.

Practice in a mirror. Practice with a friend. Let it become second nature.

In an interview the little details matter. Don’t leave them to chance. Make a good interview great.
